Regional flair and sustainability
In the Romantik Hotel Spielmann in Ehrwald
We attach a lot of importance to these: Regional flair. Quality. Sustainability. An ecological approach. Environmental protection
The regional approach takes priority
In the summer months you can observe our farmers as they tend to the landscape, ꞌmaking hay.ꞌ From the meadows in the valley, right up to steep mountain-pasture meadows, the local farmers take care of the incomparable Tyrolean landscape. What they are making ready is a first juicy cut of meat, or hay of high calibre, with valuable grasses and herbs; this is a natural feedstuff for animals, with all the valuable nutrients - the secret to the high quality of this regionꞌs meat and milk. The conscious approach to dealing with food also includes animal husbandry that is suied to the verious types of animal, as is still to be seen on our fields and meadows. Grazing cattle, horses, mountain sheep ...these are sights that we should not need to sacrifice in the future, not least because they also symbolise human beings acting responsibly.
Use of locally-farmed foods in the hotel sector not only saves CO2; it also makes an important contribution to strengthening and maintaining local agriculture - especially the small-scale farms.
100% quality from the farmer - better for the environment, the climate, the economy!
